Why I’m Writing This
A quick intro to who I am, why this blog exists, and what kind of real-world systems, tools, and lessons you’ll find here—from homelab builds to cloud automation.

Hey there—I’m Petie. I build systems for a living, and for fun.
Some of them are in the cloud, some are in the corner of my office, and most of them involve a terminal.
This blog is my place to document what I’m building, breaking, and figuring out—before I forget how it works.
You’ll find posts here about:
- Homelab architecture (Proxmox, Kubernetes, Tailscale, Ansible, etc.)
- Real-world automation (from iPaaS platforms to shell scripts)
- Lightweight solutions for small businesses and side hustles
- Case studies from freelance projects and devops experiments
- Build logs from things like smart chicken farm tech, musical instruments/tools, backups, networking, and LIMS setups
I’m not trying to go viral or preach best practices.
I’m just sharing the stuff that’s worked for me in real life—with links, code, and lessons learned.
If that sounds useful (or at least entertaining), stick around.
